About The Venue
Kualoa Ranch is a stunning 4,000-acre private nature reserve on Oʻahu’s windward coast, family-owned since 1850. Once sacred land for Hawaiian royalty, it’s now a working cattle ranch and cultural treasure, home to ancient fishponds and lush valleys. Known as “Hollywood’s Hawaiʻi Backlot,” it has been the filming site for over 200 movies and shows, including Jurassic Park and Jumanji. You can return after the wedding to explore by ATV, horseback, zipline, or boat, while supporting the ranch’s commitment to conservation and sustainability.
What to Wear
We’re celebrating with a tropical garden party outdoors, set on grassy hillsides. To help with comfort and style, we’ve offered some suggested attire—but feel free to wear what makes you feel your best.
For the Gents
Colors
Light neutrals such as beige, tan, gray, or cream work best. Dark colors are best avoided, as they can get hot in the Hawaiian sun. (Of course, no worries if you only have black!)
Attire/Fabric
A crisp linen or cotton button-down paired with tailored slacks or chinos. A lightweight blazer is a great option if you’d like to elevate your look, but ties and full suits are optional. The goal is polished yet relaxed.
Shoes
Loafers, leather dress shoes, or polished boat shoes are perfect. Choose closed-toe styles that are comfortable for walking on grass.
For the Ladies
Colors
Inspired by the wedding florals. The color palette is a playful blend of soft pastels and vibrant tropical tones – soft pink, creamy neutrals, golden yellow, lavender, bold tangerine, and olive green. Light, cheerful colors are encouraged, while dark shades are best avoided in the warm Hawaiian sun.
Attire/Fabric
Flowy midi or maxi dresses in airy fabrics like chiffon, silk blends, or linen. Prints and florals are welcome for that elevated garden-party feel.
Shoes
Wedges, block heels, or dressy flats are ideal for grassy terrain and gentle hills. Please avoid stilettos, as they’ll sink into the lawn

(Keiki= Child in Hawaiian)

Where to Stay
For convenience, we recommend staying in Honolulu, specifically Waikīkī. This area has the most hotel options, is family-friendly, and puts you within walking distance of beaches, shops, and restaurants. It’s also the best home base for getting around the island—especially for first-time visitors.
To make planning easier, the map below highlights the most convenient areas:
- Green = Central Waikīkī → The top choice: walkable, central, and close to everything.
- Blue = Nearby Waikīkī → Still very convenient with easy access to beaches and dining.
- Pink = Outer Area → Quieter and more remote, but less walkable.

The map below shows where Waikiki is in relation to the wedding venue…
(It’s 47 minutes / 23.3 miles from Waikiki)

🏨 Travel & Activities
Where should I stay?
We don’t have a hotel block, but we recommend Waikīkī for convenience. See the “Where to Stay” section for details.
Oʻahu has many beautiful areas to stay, each with its own unique vibe. The island is bigger than it looks, and driving from one side to the other can take 1–1.5 hours depending on traffic, so choosing the right spot can make your trip easier.
🌊 Waikīkī (Honolulu) – Central & Lively
Perfect for first-time visitors, Waikīkī offers easy beach access, endless dining and shopping, and vibrant streets. It’s the most convenient hub for exploring the island, with most major attractions within an hour’s drive.
🌅 Ko Olina (Leeward Side) – Resort Escape
About 45 minutes from Waikīkī, Ko Olina is quieter and more relaxed, with family-friendly resorts like Disney’s Aulani and the luxurious Four Seasons. It’s ideal for those seeking lagoons, pools, and a slower pace, though you’ll likely need a car to explore beyond the resort area.
🌺 North Shore – Laid-Back Adventure
Known for its world-famous surf breaks and local charm, the North Shore is 1–1.5 hours from Waikīkī. It’s perfect for guests who want a more nature-focused, local experience. Turtle Bay Resort is the main hotel in the area, with vacation rentals also available.
✨ No matter where you stay, Oʻahu’s scenic drives make the journey part of the adventure. Just plan for travel time, and you’ll be ready to enjoy every corner of the island.
